Options available

Acrylic and Latex Floor Paint

A basic one-part, water-based floor coating suited to storage areas, light workshops and floors without regular vehicle traffic. It is the most economical option, but it offers limited resistance to hot tires, oil, salt and heavy wear.

One-Part Epoxy Floor Paint

An acrylic coating modified with epoxy resin. It gives an affordable visual upgrade and better durability than ordinary concrete paint, though it is not the same as a chemically cured two-component epoxy system.

True Two-Part Epoxy Coating

A resin and hardener system that requires careful preparation and controlled application. Available as a solid-colour finish, with decorative flakes, with an anti-slip additive, or with a compatible clear topcoat.

Comparing the three systems

Relative ratings compare the three options with each other. No coating is permanent, and lifespan depends on preparation, use and conditions in the garage.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between one-part epoxy paint and true epoxy?
One-part epoxy paint is a water-based coating modified with epoxy resin and dries by evaporation. A two-part system mixes resin with a hardener and cures chemically, which generally gives a tougher film.
Can you coat a floor that already has peeling paint?
Loose coating has to be removed before a new system is applied. Tell us what is on the floor now and we will factor the preparation into the estimate.
How long before I can park on it?
Cure time depends on the product and the temperature in the garage. We confirm the waiting period for foot traffic and vehicle traffic before we start.
Are flakes and anti-slip additives available?
Yes, on the two-part system. Flakes add visual texture and hide minor imperfections, and an anti-slip additive adds grip in wet or snowy months.
